How exactly does “Shadowburn”?

Monday, April 14th, 2008

After my first epic drop last night, I tried to log in to see if the shining beauty had sold.

Much to my (lack of) surprise, the whole Shadowburn battleground system is down, killing three out of the five servers I’m on, including Lightninghoof, the one where the pretty shiny epic is sitting on the auction house.

So now I am forced to look for upgrades to my main character while I wait for Blizzard to, ahem, get their “Shiv” straight. At least she’ll look good in the end.

The Battle of the MMORPGs

Monday, April 7th, 2008

First order of business:

Figuring out which is better: Final Fantasy XI (PC, PS2. Xbox 360) or World of Warcraft (PC, Mac)?

Before I continue, someone out there is going, “Why not Everquest or Lord of the Rings Online?” Why you ask? Because FFXI and WoW were the first MAJOR MMORPGs and still are the top ones. Plus you never hear anyone say, “LotR Online is better than FFXI/WoW!”. And if you do, you should slap them. Repeatedly. With a large blunt object.

Anyway, we’ll break it down by what each game has to offer. (more…)

Welcome to my little corner of the internet.

Here, I will entertain your minds with what I hope is useful information about video and computer games, reviews, and any other piece of gossip that tends to grab my attention and I think will grab yours too. My opinion and others will be slathered in every word, not to twist your own thoughts but maybe spark something in your head that hasn’t seen light in quite some time.

I also encourage others to give their opinion and feedback to what the read, learn, and think. I do not want this to be a one-sided discussion; I want to know what others think so I can learn too.

So with that, I ask you: What do you think?
